Happy easter everyone. Well its been a busy day took 2 at home exams. Turned in a presentation that will hopefully be good enough for tuesday. and tons of other stuff. My youngest cousin is in town on spring break for the week YEA!! My cousin from GA her hubby and baby were in as well. And we celebrated Birthdays and easter it was great. I am however exhausted, it has been nonstop schoolwork sence i got home but its all good a few more weeks and this semesters over. big hugs me. In the end what is there? Life? Death? Day? Night? Resurrection reincarnation what happens when we slip into that sorid goodnight What causes the soul to take flight ? is there a soul? If so than why does my heart mourn why do i grieve the living and the dead when there is an afterlife after all would this life not just lead to the next? Of is the life we live now an afterlife in and of itself. We wake we eat we sleep we look for meaning and happiness but to what end? In the end it is gone and nothing remains but memories memories sorrowful and succulent as the grilled carcass of a cow. Perhaps that is what we are, cattle to that which is greater than us The elderly Angus beef the young Veal The middle-aged common everyday roast. Common. But even the harshest of roasts can be good if properly prepared. But who is the chef? is it our minds? Our brains still as mysterious to us as the stars? Or is it a herder who prepares us. Cleaning
Well I have had enough, this office needs to be cleaned I am going nuts and Alda bless her was kind enough to help a bit today. Thank goodnss and another friend of mine Frank went to the international fair and got me a beautiful oriental umbrella and mom an elephant. Hes such a sweetie. Sunday Morning
Well, lets see here it's Sunday morning. I got to bed around 0230 this morning. I was writing a paper comparing Jewish rituals and ceremonies particularly around food and drink mmmm Latkas ::drool drool drool::, with Hindu ones. Really it is quite a fascinating topic. So I sent my first draft into my teacher hopefully she will say "Wow Bernadette what a great paper, in fact I think its the best paper i ever read. You have an A+++++++++ on this paper so don't worry about coming back to class and since this paper is your final exam consider yourself passed with an A :) Its just that great of a paper." wouldn't that be nice? The reality statement will be. "Good stat, you need to change this , this, this, and this. Be more thorough with this More footnote! you only have 16 in this 5 page paper. etc". But there's always hope. right? right??? Hmm what else is going on. I guess not much. Same ol same ol work and school and school and work. Well Merry meet all, Here we go again another attempt at me keeping a journal. Don't expect every day entries. But I will try for weekly at least. I guess I am making this because #1 Sometimes I just need to vent or ramble like anyone else. Also so that you can know some of the things going on in my life. For example it has been a wonderful past 2 weeks so far as experiences go. Alda took me out with her to meet a new friend she met at the coffee shop. He is in a band, I read his tarot and he told me that he was putting me in a song. How flattering is that? I'm still stunned and speechless about it. Saturday the 25th my Religion in Film teacher asked me to help her not only edit her book but also write a few articles to go into her book. So with any luck I may have some published work before i graduate! :) Today at my advisement Mrs. Berry my adviser and a wonderful teacher asked me to be in her special topics production class. The course is by invite/permission of the professor only. She said she knew i would do a good job and would work hard etc. There are three possible projects we will be working on. One is for ETV, and the other 2 are independent companies. We get to work on them from initial design, story boarding etc, to location scouting, filming and editing (if we want to be with the project past the semester.) The end product should be a 1 hour tv show or some such. Needless to say out of all the students to be one of 20 possible students picked is an honor. Another thing she wanted me to do was make a short documentary to submit to a contest. The prize is $1,000.00. She even told me she would pull some strings that would allow me to check out equipment (which at the moment i cant do) the deadline for entry is may 1st. Another thing that happened this was earlier this month I sent in a pict and resume over the Internet for a film role with DC productions. I got a reply within 30 minutes asking me for a demo reel as an audition for the part. I sent one in today. They probably have the role cast by now. But keep your fingers crossed.
